How To Avoid Craigslist Scams

Ever seen an offer for a $25 plasma television? How about a $30 brand new Apple computer? If you've ever been on Craigslist wondering why someone would possibly sell something for a terribly price that makes no sense to you, you probably shouldn't shrug your shoulders saying, 'That's their problem. I'm going to make this killer purchase.' After all, as our grandparents warned us, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. One of greatest tell-tale signs of a scam is an ad that gives off an air of desperation--sure, we all want to sell our stuff, but often, some Craigslisters try very, very hard to make an offer that they know a user won't pass up. A lot of Craigslist posts are put in the format that is eerily similar to spam e-mails that flood your inbox, and if you see these types of Craigslist posts, then you should know to automatically avoid them. Charissa over at Gen X Finance wrote a great article about some of the other warning signs to watch out for when considering a Craigslist purchase, and it's definitely worth visiting her site to get a look at some other common-sense tips worth following when perusing Craigslist: http://genxfinance.com/how-to-spot-a-craigslist-scam/
